right now i have brown hair and bangs. i really want to dye my hair red underneath. like get layers in my hair and then have the underneath part red. i dont know if i could pull that look off.

i think you can pull it off. if your sill not sure about it, use the washout die. so you dont have to live with it if it look bad.

....Maybe a dark red tone but nothing too bright...personally i really think you should stay with your hair color you already have because:
1) dying really damage hair sometimes
2) it just looks better natural

Do it!! It'll look great! Red hair's excellent but does wash out quickly. I've dyed mine myself every 3 weeks for the past 7 years and it looks the same as when I've had it done at the hairdresser, but costs a lot less. Oh, and my hair's in good condition (amazingly) so go for it!!

Try an auburn brown.It won`t be too red,just a brown with a hint of red and it won`t require alot of upkeep,and won`t look too severe.
