I like that cut. That's what I'm going for. It's pretty, yet edgy, and there are a million ways you can style it. I'm actually going to try to learn how to get it a little spikey, for when I have those punk days. I'm also going to curl it, blow dry it upside down so it's straight, and use some clips to see what I can come up with. You don't have to get this, obviously, but it would be so much easier to take care of, and style. Also, it would look cute messy.

The cut:

The nape section (That閳ユ獨 the hair at the lowest part of your scalp where it becomes your neck.) is trimmed into a curve that gently encircles the neck.

Wear this bob style curved under, as shown, or tuck the sides behind your ears. They are conveniently long enough to stay put. Another variation is to pull all of the top and sides back into a short pony tail. Leave out any hair that is not long enough to make it to the pony tail. Form an even part between the long and the short areas for an attractive

Blonde peek-a-boo highlights would make you unique to all those girls with black or brown, and personally, I think it would look much prettier. Ashlee Simpson had that light brown bob and underneath she had blonde peek-a-boo highlights, there's a link under sources if you want to see what I'm talking about. There aren't a lot of pics of that kind of coloring so go for it. You could also do copper or red, any color you would use to traditionally highlight your hair would probably work and you can use the samples from your salon and place them on top of each other or under your hair to see what it would look like. I have straight blonde hair that goes two inches below my shoulders. I also have side bangs. I never know how to style my hair, I usually just end up putting it in a pony tail or bun becuase It gets in my face. I dont curl my hair becuase the curls go away in 30 minutes even if I put hairspray in! Any ways I could wear my hair would be great! Pictures would also help! :)

My hair is wavy and bouncy but not completely straight. It isn't very curly either. And I find I can;t get a razored hair cut because it wouldn't look nice as it is best for people with straight hair. grow it long. cause then when its long it will be beautifully and thick and wavy. if you want though, get some layers put through it and a feather fringe, that way you can wear it down across you face or pull it back.

How you know that? Are you sure it is much darker than the blond hair? May be they are really brunette, but bleached their hair? And I don't think you want to bleach hair else ware on the body it will not be pleasant.

since you can't tell in the picture, my hair goes down to about 2 inches past my shoulders.

I'd like to cut my hair short-ish (above the shoulders at least) because i'm trying to get all of the over processed and fried bits off (believe me, i've been dying my hair since 4th grade and i have gone from dark brown to blonde several times, the bottom 4 inches or so are not exactly in great shape)

if you have other suggestions then i'm willing to listen =)

I think that it would look great, but keep in mind that a cut like that usually is worn with some highlights and considering that you want to let the damaged hair grow out.... well it might not look as piece e ... also just a note that that style will take some product and some work on keeping it to look like the picture you have. For your bone structure I wouldn't recomend it. Maybe like a layerd look that goes right to your shoulders...... sord of like the one in my avatar. That hair style would make your jaw and cheek bones look wider. You should ask a hair stylist.

Might look quite nice. I happen to like that hair style so I'm a little biased to begin with though. I say give it a shot. It's only hair, it'll grow back so you might as well experiment with it.

For sure, it is always good to step out of the norm and try something new. It looks like the hairstyle is quite versatile, so when it grows it will be easy to change it up and turn into different hairstyles. I have really long hair and I just recently got a modern mullet yes weird, but cool and I love it because I can do so many different things, and I did it for me.

well i would like to say you have really pretty hair, umm but you could try to like take the bottom portion of your hair and dye it a color you like, say for instance try like a burgendy red, so when you pic your hair up in a ponytail or something you can see it it would look very nice, and with your bangs do the same thing but like in streaks it would look very cool but sophisticated, :]

If you have to wear a cap and gown, you'd probably be more comfortable wearing your hair down so that the cap goes on comfortably. Don't wear a tiara-that's too over the top. You could curl the ends or pin part of it back, if you want.

As for shoes, it depends on what the dress looks like. Wear dress shoes-either heels of some sort, or if you prefer, something like a ballet flat.

First, you'd need GATSBY hair wax. Any kind would do, but GATSBY's my favorite because it holds great. You can get it an any pharmacy. When your are applying, apply mainly to the tips of your hair and flatten everything forward, then, using the side of your index finger, push up at the tips of your hairline. After you get a general shape, use your finger tips with leftover hair wax from applying to put details on the tips.

The most important thing is you need to have the right hair style and your hair should be soft and long. It looks really weird if the hair on the side of your head is too long.

I also have long, straight, thin hair, and kinda frizzy after blow drying. I've found that layers are the best for me. I'm not ready for any kind dramatic cut yet--I love my long hair. I do find though that every month when I go for my haircut I'm able to take more and more off the top layer, like the layer that frames my face. This really helps add more volume to fine hair...I especially like to fluff up the top layer with hair spray around my crown. My point of all that though is that I think the same kind of thing would work for you too. Your hair seems to have great texture already, so if you did decide to go with layers, it would be pretty easy to style on an everyday basis. But, you'd also still have the length to work with, like for special occasions. Perhaps you'd also consider getting some subtle highlights? This also will add more dimension and texture to fine hair. Again, even if you didn't want to go with anything too dramatic, I think highlights would add some interest along with your new cut.

Basically for styling, I wash and condition my hair at night, then use a thinkening treatment and a protective serum before I blow dry. Afterwards, my hair tends to be a little frizzy, but again, its at night, so I just go to bed, and the next morning its very smooth. Most mornings I'll add root boosting foam around my crown, and kinda fluff it up with my blow dryer. To finish, I just do a light mist of shapening hairspray to tame any frizzies and also again to fluff up the area around my crown. Very simple, I love it :) A few tips--although your hair already looks healthy--would be to always, always, always condition! You probably know that though :) I also like to do a deep conditioner atleast twice a week. Again, serum helps add shine and tame frizzies and would be especially good for our type of hair, etc., when you blow dry, use the warm temperature setting...Hmm...Only use a wide-toothed comb on wet hair, as hair is more easily damaged when its wet...You probably already know all this, but it is what would keep your layers smooth and shiny and beautiful :)

Hm well that is all I can think of for this question, lol. But yeah...Basically, layers to give you more of a shape and add texture and volume, the top layer to frame your face, perhaps try a side-part with side swept bands...You get the idea lol :)

well maybe diy your hair like a light brown, or i guess it is light brown but i can't see it. cut it just a little bit, not too much, but you look good, and try make up that matches your hair or clothes so you can look different every day, not too much make, thou. good luck and use a iron to strait your hair even more.

you'll need pretty thick hair to start with, with really short layers all over, longer around the face.... then straight out of the shower get some good product on it and blow dry upside down on HOT!! this is important. After that use some pomade to spike it out all over and put the hairs where you want them and then hair spray a ton. And of course, if you want the head band then put the head band on and re-place whatever hair needs to be moved around.

i am 13 and i have like a roundish- ovalish face, i dont have chubby cheeks, im 5'4 and i have have black, thick hair, with some natural waves. My hair comes slightly below by shoulders. My hair sounds just like your...a little curly, but not alot.

There are products you can buy that help retain curl, and make more. You can spend lots at a salon, or a little at a drug store. One that works great is Tresemme. It's about $5.00 for the bottle. The expensive ones smell better though, but don't work any better.

Towel dry your hair, and let it dry naturally DON"T blow dry it! When it's almost dry, spray your hair with the wave stuff (or work in the creme version), then start scrunching handfuls up towards your scalp. Do this for about 5 minutes on and off where you need to (the scrunching, don't respray). Then let it dry. This is hard because it's still going to look clumpy and wet. Trust me. wait.

when it's dry, use your fingers or a pick to seperate the waves. You won't have curls, but gentle waves and a tossled look.

I do this a lot if I've washed my hair before going to bed and it's really kinky in the morning. Just rewet and spray, then comb out. This style is great if you want to grow your hair a little longer too, since you aren't cutting it at all. I hope this helps you honey!

no there's a certain way you can get your hair braided on the sides and then the middle will be the mohawk.....talk to a styleist or someone near you who knows how to do hair and they should know

No you don't have to shave the sides of your hair off. What you probably want to do is style your hair into a fauxhawk. It's a mohawk where you don't buzz the sides of your head. Part and section off the part of your hair that you want to be a mohawk. Put it in a pony tail so it's not in the way. Then take some heavy duty gel like dep level 10 (which is super cheap and can be found at any local drug store; CVS Walgreens etc.) and slick the hair on the sides of the mohawk back. For the mohawk itself you'll need to use one of two things depending on how stubborn your hair is. For hair that's not so stubborn use Garnier Fructis's Super Stiff Gel to style it the way you want. For stubborn hair or to ensure your mohawk lasts the whole day, use Garnier Fructis's Fiber Gum Putty. That stuff is sick and does a really good job. It works best if your hair is dry but it can work if you hair is wet too.

that's pretty simple. basically you pull the front part of your hair back, but leave a little bit or your hair, or your bangs, forward then tie it back ot clip it back, whatever. then to me it looks like she either scrunched it or curled it. if scrunching is you path, i would use panteen extra hold gel in you hair. basically all you do is run the gel through your hair w/ your hands, then, from the bottom of your hair just kind of bounce it up and down, twirl it, loop it, in the end it will end up similar to that, just play around with it, it'll lokk pretty similar. ---or--- you can get a fine curler (or curls), try as thin, but not to thin, as possible. but it on high heat and simpley curl it. i would use aussie premium hair spray for this job. but remember, she has high class hair people or whatever doing her hair, so it is certainly not going to look the same. me personally, i love the look and i'm sure it'll look great on you too! good luck, love the look!

I'm not sure what you mean by picturess?

Begin by applying a styling gel, mousse or styling spray to clean, damp hair and blow dry until completely dry. Your curls will form better and last longer with the aid of good quality hair products.

Clip your hair back in multiple sections. Release one section and brush or comb it to remove any knots or tangles. Spray lightly with a soft-hold hairspray if your hair is very fine and doesn't hold curls well.

Begin with the undersection of your hair, working your way up to the top. Twist a small section of your hair with your hands for spiral curls, or take a flat, larger section for loose curls.

Open the curling iron by pressing the lever and insert your hair. Close the curling iron barrel on your hair, making sure that all of the ends of that section are completely enclosed in the barrel

Roll the iron up andd hold it for uhh about 10 seconds

Open the curling iron and release the curls. Continue with other sections until all areas have been curled.

Flip your head and shake out the curls, then style your hair with your fingers.

Then...I would say you should spray your hair with light hold hairspray...if you live in a humid place use a humidity resistant hairspray

you know those things called 'bumps' and your hair is like a huge bump on your head?

Imma teach you how to do this...step by step except its going to be in the middle [looks great with or without bangs]

1- straight iron your hair or wear it curly doesn't matter

2- split your hair so your part is in the middle

3-look in the mirror so you can see the top of your head

4- take a little section from both sides of the part and brush/comb them together so they make one piece

5- make it into a 'bump' [ i don't really know how else to describe it'

6- use a tiny hair cip/bobbie pins

when you're done, it should look like this, except in the middle-ish front-ish of the head...and i think it looks better if you have a low bump instead of a huge one. =]

an easy way is to braid it when your hair is wet (maybe make two braids, the more braids u make the smaller the waves) when you wake up undo the braids and there u go. u might have to put some hairspray on it, but this way is way better then using a whole bunch of products. i even tried on dry hair and overnite it worked. hope it works for u :)

I need some help! Does anyone have a link to some really good sites that have lots of hair and make-up pictures? I have to go for my wedding hair trial and I can't find a good picture anywhere!! I basically know what I want, but trying to explain it would be hard. I have searched on google images, and can't seem to find anything. Any tips or links to find a good site would be VERY appreciated!!

Also, what is a good brand (or should I just leave that for the person who does my make-up that day?) of false eyelashes? I want them for my wedding...not the really long and obvious fake "blink really fast and you may fly away" eyelashes, but just to add to the outer corners of my eyes for a "romantic" look.

As far as brand of makeup I would leave that up to whoever does your makeup. I also would think that they would have false eyelashes on hand for whatever look you are going for. If not you can go to target and get some and cut them down to what you would like best. Congratulations!

One way is to purchase these foam curler things (I don't remember the name, but Conair %26amp; Goody has them) and wrap your hair around them while its damp; a curl activator spray, like TRESemme, would amplify the curl.

Youl need double barrel tongs! IM sure 80% thats how they did her hair like that. You just get some tongs read the instructions. Normal tongs wont make it look like this. And braiding it doesnt make it look so 'neat and perfect'

I'll try my best to explain it. And it's kind of a long process.

But what you do it take a curling iron, and you start at the top of your hair near the roots. all you do is open the curling iron, then close it down on a small section hair. The you move down right below the last section you did, and flip the curling iron the oposite way. Then you repeat that all the way down the section of hair rotating the iron back and forth. So it's kind of like a really big crimper.

My hair is about that length and has layers. I do not own a curling iron but do have a straightener. My his naturally wavy/curly but I straightened it. I have garnier fructis "strong holding hairspray" and garnier fructis "strong holding putty."

LOL ok well since you don't have a curling iron you could just use your flat irons to flip it.

1st Part a thin piece of your hair, its often better to start in the back.

2nd Lightly spray it with garnier fructis, the strong holding hairspray. You don't wanna spray to much cause that would make it to unnatural looking!!!

3rd Start straightnerin it but instead of going all the way down to the ends than off the hair use the flat iron like a curling iron!!!

4th Repeat steps one through 3 untill your finish!!!

Time: about 45 mins or less!!!!

So my friend is in ROTC and is OBSESSED with keeping her hair short [like, boy short!] but she likes for me to style it when we go out, she wants me to be able to spike the back of her hair up [kinda emo style] and I don't really know how to do it!

As for me, I have almost shoulder length brown hair. I have alot of layers, and I'm about to be getting more and having my ends trimmed. My hair is very thick and quite stubborn, it is naturally wavy, but I straighten it when I'm going out. Have her wash her hair and towel dry it. When the back is still damp, put some gel, mousse, or hairspray in it and blowdry it upside down running your fingers through it upwards so it spikes up. Or you could try doing it dry, using some pomade and running your fingers through it upwards with the pomade. If it doesn't seem to want to spike, the problem could be its too thick or too long.

Don't use it. It only works on dirty blonde or blonde hair. Use a lemon as others have said.

yah it turns your hair orange with your hair being light brown it probably won't have that dramatic of a change but what it does is it strips the pigment from your hair color and usually goes a yellowly brassy orange color just like when you bleach your hair

1-just start braidung normally.

Its really easy to style short hair. Unnatural hair colours look better on short hair (in my opinion). Flick bits of hair out here and there. Tease some bits. Add some of your favourite hair accessories in it too.

Garnier Fructis have an awesome range of hair products that work wonders for us short haired people (long haired people too). So use a tester ...where ever that sells them and see what you think.

I have wavy brown hair that is sorta thick. My hair is half way down my back in length. I want to thin my hair out to make it more straight and less frizzy. I recently got my hair cut this way, and I love it. However, I can't seem to style it as I want to. When I straighten my hair (it's a bit wavy, I own a flat iron), it simply falls flat down over my head, but I want to be able to style it "out" like that picture, so the layers sort of stick and spike out.

Hoooly! My hair is exactly like that Lol! Its a fun cut if you do it right! My hair is wavy too and after I was it and let it dry straight, frankly it looks like a mess. The best thing to do is put volumizing styling creme in it while it's wet, blowdry it, then straighten the bottom long layers. Secure the long layers back in a low, loose ponytail and straighten the bangs (Always the hardest part for me, my bangs tend to be really curly) and straighten the top, really short layers. flip your head upside down (keeping the bangs out of the way) and spray the top, short layers with some strong hairspray. Backbrush only a few chunks of hair for drama, don't overdo the backbrushing, it hurts to brush it out! Use some pomade or wax to get a piecey look. You can experiment alot with this haircut, and it looks really dramatic when you are satisfied with it!

The key is to blowdry your hair, flat-iron if needed, then run a hair wax (Bumble%26amp;Bumble's SUMO Wax is PERFECT for the job, I won't use anything else..) through the areas you want to spike, then focus on "fluffing" it up and creating volume and seperation (the chick in the photo has a LOT of volume..this can also be acheived by blowdrying the areas you wish to spike upwards at the roots) spray with a flexible hairspray such as Bumble%26amp;bumble's "does it all" brand hairspray

Have fun with it! Dont overstyle, just let the hair rock and roll and do its own thing!

I have a court date coming up soon and I am not sure how the judge will react to my long curly hair. I am growing it out because I want to donate it to Locks of Love. My court date will probably be within the next two months and I am not sure if it will be ten inches (the minimum length Locks of Love accepts). i use sunsilk shampoo..it makes my hair like..silk..my hair is naturally strait, and about an inch past my chin, in an inverted bob cut..if i had to suggest a straitener, i would suggest conair..my mom got one for 14 bucks at walmart and it works really well..for hairspray, aussi volumizing shtuff..it smells good, and its a good product..thats all i got for ya..hope this helped!

I dont even need to brush. just towel dry and add the conditioner and amplifing cream. Your curls will have more bounce and definition. You can also try ABBA Curl Reactor. Just shampoo and condition then towel dry and spritz and crunch! Good luck

Hey guys,

So i went to publix lol and i got this hair lightener called "Sun In" and i just grabbed it off the shelf just wanting to try something knew and when i got home i looked at the back of the bottle and the hair before and after pictures looked a lot lighter and i don't know if i should use it because i am a medium brown hair no not light brown but medium brown. so heres what it said:

How To Use

1. Simply spray sun-in in your damp hair and comp through to evenly distribute.

2. For a sun-streaked look,spray only the strands you want highlighted.

3. Relax and let the sun do the work, you can also bring out your highlights faster with a little help from a blow dryer

i'm just a little scared and i want my hair to be lighter but now i think i'll have my older sister do it for me cause i don't want my whole head to be like bleach bleach blonde!!

I have used this before. It works great. It worked on my black hair, so it should work on your brown hair. Just follow the instructions PERFECTLY and u will be fine.

Also, remember to only put the dye where u want your hair lightened.

My friends have told me that Sun In damaged their hair badly. Why don't you just use a shampoo that has a color to it. I don't know what they call them, they are sold in hair salons, l'oreal has it and my sister uses it brighten her hair color. Apparently it works and its not harsh at all. All you need to do is apply it like an ordinary shampoo. I wouldn't use Sun In, throw it away!

Your best tools are some great trimmers and a steady hand or if you don't want to do it go to a more modern barber shop cause the one's that only do crew cuts and flat tops are not gonna be able to hook you up. It looks like a dark brown with some caramel highlights. She has a warm skin tone so it's probably a warm dark brown. If you go to a hairdresser (which is always best), you can pick out hair swatches and they will tell you if it's warm/cold/neutral, what will look best on you, etc. If you try this on your own, you can bet it won't turn out as you want it to. Bring the pic to a pro, and go from there.

Ok, I want my hair to be alot like my personality.

I am very athletic, a LITTLR bit girly (not too much but somewhat), smart, with a sprinkle of Punk mixed in. (If that makes sense, I grew up with all brothers who are kinda punk).

If you can find a hair style that is blonde, you have a better chance at the points.

Go to your local grocery store or pharmacy and pick up a hair magazine - I think it's called Sophisticates - it's a great mag. and check out all the styles %26amp; colors there.

I had my hair lightened a couple of shades and it washed out my complexion. Sometimes you can add lowlights or do a darker base color and then throw in highlights so you get a little contrast going on.

add some layers to your long hair...and maybe invest in a good straightening iron. you can change your look day to day going back and forth between wavy and straight. some good product for wavy hair would be good as well, such as curl spray that will take away any frizz. as for the red hair, red is gorgeous. try getting redlights put in to add definition.

I'm a dancer and I'm getting headshots done on wednesday. My hair is naturally curly and I've heard that if you're getting headshots done and you have naturally curly hair you should wear it curly and not straighten it. However, my naturally curly hair can get very puffy and frizzy and I don't know if maybe i should wear my hair straight for the picture. Below are two pictures one with my hair straight and one with it curly...should i go all natural or straighten my hair? Do you think my naturally curly hair would give me something different, like an advantage? Help me out!!!

If you wear your hair curly on a normal day, wear it curly for the head shot and use a curl serum, an a good conditioner. I have really curly hair and it gets poofy too when it drys. I purchased herball essences hello hydrating conditioner and my hair is so soft and manageable i also bought care free curl, curl restorer it helps remove the frizz. the conditoner on it's own is good though. good luck.

I understand. Picking hairstyles can be hard. I think that whatever is more natural to you would be the right answer. Headshots need to communicate who YOU ARE. If you normally straighten you hair and are more likely to walk into an audition with your hair straightened, then keep it that way.

Hi, I was thinking to dye my hair or have highlights in my hair, I need to do something about my hair cause its just boring black hair! I will tell you a bit about my hair and skin colour ect..

I'm black, my skin colour is light brown (I'm not dark, I'm real light), I have african black hair. My hair is naturally black/curly/wavy hair, I straighten my hair 2 or 3, 4 times (never relaxed my hair). I have have long hair (my curly hair is up to my boobs so if I straighten it then it will be long). Please tell me the right hair colour or highlights that are great for my hair. 1. u need to grow ur hair more for it to look like those pics

2. u need a root lift, this can be done with large rollers/curlers or blowdrying your hair using a ceramic core round brush upwards. also certain products can help with volume different salon ranges will help try paul mitchell or redken you can look these up on google or other research sites.

I need to do a project on how chemical hair straightening works! I need information on the chemical structure of the hair, not physical! and pictures to go with this. I also need what the chemicals used actually look like (like the bonds/molecules) and how they interact with the CHEMICAL properties of hair. I went to a new salon yesterday and took a picture of the hair cut I wanted but its been cut way too short! I didn't really realise until I got home! The ends of my hair were in a bad way due to hair dye but I feel as if I have been scalped! Should I go back and say something...I doubt there is much that they can do! Guess I just have wait for it to grow! Any thoughts on this?
